Willis Family Memorial Fund

On the 14th of August, 2016, Willis Duckery Sr., along with his son Quintin, was out for a late fishing trip on their friend's boat.
At some point during the night, a squall overcame the area without giving Willis chance to make it back to shore, forcing the boat to capsize. Before it capsized, Willis was able to push Quintin out of the boat and told him to hang on to a buoy on the side. After 4 hours, Quintin was found hanging on the side of the boat at around 1 AM in the morning, but, the search continued throughout the night for his father. Willis' body was eventually found the next morning, crushing an entire community of friends and family all along the Eastern coast who were praying for his safe return.
Willis was an honest business man and pillar in several local communities, providing night life, entertainment, and different services as well as jobs to local people. He was kind, giving, helpful and loved by all who knew him. Willis leaves behind his wife, Josephina, and two sons, Willis Jr., 19, a junior at Delaware State University, and Quintin, 14, an upcoming freshman at Smyrna High School.
Unfortunately, Willis did not have a life insurance policy. We would like to ask you, all of our friends, as well as those who have come across his story, who have expressed wanting to send flowers, cards etc., instead the family requests a memorial contribution, to aid with the cost of funeral arrangements and adjustment.
Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated, and we truly thank you for the support of his family in this incredibly tough time.
