Where There's A Will There's A Way

George "Will" Weatherford is currently in a Japanese hospital. There is something on his brain stem that the doctor has yet to come up with a definite diagnosis for. The doctor has let us know that it is necessary to med evac him home as soon as possible. They will not treat this problem here so he needs to go back to America in order to get the care he needs to treat this condition. On July 20th Will woke up with what he thought was Bells Palsy. He went to the doctor and received medicine that was predicted to make him better within a week. He decided to go ahead and fly to Japan on the 23rd for a family vacation scheduled many months prior to this incident. When he got to Japan his symptoms became worse. He went to the hospital and his condition was presenting as a severe case. The doctor didn't want Will to fly home at this time but stay in the hospital to get IV treatments to fight off what the doctor thought was a virus. 5 days later his symptoms were yet again, worse. More test confirmed that this was not a virus but something more severe. He continues to decline as we wait for the medi evac to make a flight plan. Health insurance will not cover anything outside the states and cannot reimburse us until we return to the United States. Hospital costs will be around $10,000. The medi flight home will cost between $40,000 and $50,000. The state department won't give Will a loan for the medi evac so we are running out of options. About Will:Will is currently a student at Adams State University. He was a state wrestler in high school all four years. Will was valedictorian of his high school class. He is passionate about weight lifting and good nutrition. He loves the Lord. Will wants to finish his college education to help others with fitness and nutrition and finding the Lord. His current job is helping his friend / disabled room mate, with house hold tasks. Will has an enormous heart and we are trying everything that we can to get him home so that doctors are able to treat him. He just wants to come back and see his family and friends. His family appreciates anything you are willing to give. God bless you all.
