94899: BRANDI-- URGENT 3 year old intact female pit bull mix. She is rescue only due to medical. Our vets wrote: “QAR. Non weight bearing on RR leg and hobbling on RF leg with obvious discomfort. mm pink and moist, CRT<2sec, mild dental tartar. EENT - eyes bright and clear; NSF on otic exam; dry nose; benign TP. Superficial scabbed, semi moist lacerations on face as well as all extremities with a 2" long by 1/4" wide deep open laceration on R dorsal antebrachium - applied medicated bandage to forelimb. Heart murmur 2/6 L apical murmur heard; resp rate ~10, lungs clear. Abdominal palp soft and comfortable. Dirty skin and hair coat with live fleas crawling and flea dirt present. RR leg shorter than left rear leg with CP deficits and decreased muscle mass present, very painful with attempts to minimally extend hip but knee stable, also resents LR leg manipulation. VD pelvis reveals a significantly displaced R SI luxation with pelvic floor fractures - suspect callus present at SI luxation and coupled with muscle wasting, appears to be chronic. Intact female, mammary and vulva development present. Rescue only due to pelvis injury as well as heart murmur - pelvis injury will not heal with cage rest and may not be amenable to surgery based on degree of luxation and chronicity but will need ortho consult to determine. Wound on R forelimb will need primary closure but is ok with daily bandage changes at this time.
