Build Jim House Accessibility

Jim's heading in for his 5th spinal-tumor surgery on April 16, in Burlington, VT, with the likelihood of him being at a local rehab center for 6-8 weeks following an initial 7-10 days in the hospital.  But once he finally does come home, we hope to surprise him with a sorely-needed wheelchair ramp plus a bonus surprise of some deck furniture, which would expand his current limited living space to include some outdoor space as well.  We are hoping to raise some of the necessary money to make both of these home improvements a pleasant surprise for Jim upon his eventual homecoming in June.

Jim's health has deteriorated rapidly since last summer, mostly due to various drug treatments failing.  His only option, now, is surgery.  His doctors have told us it's an extremely complicated surgery and impossible to get all of the tumor, as secondary nerves are growing through the tumor.  But we are hopeful for a successful surgery, nonetheless--one that will mean significantly less pain and improved mobility, although neither is a guarantee. 

Many of you were extremely generous this past fall in our previous campaign to get Jim a new laptop, which he absolutely loves.  So, we hate to have to ask for help again, but if there's ANY way you could help us in this new fundraising effort, please consider doing so.  We would be most grateful.  In the meantime, please keep Jim in your prayers/thoughts, particularly on Tuesday.  He sure could use them right about now.  Thanks so much!
