Help a Soldier Fight Lymphoma

Donation protected
Kaycee is a war veteran in the Army and has been deployed to Iraq, and Afghanistan fighting for our country while being stationed in Germany and Korea away from her family for almost 7 years. While deployed to Afghanistan, she started showing symptoms and was misdiagnosed each time. Several months later while visiting her family in Hawaii she went to a civilian doctor which removed a mass from her right thigh the size of a golf ball, and was determined  to be cancerous. The Army didn't pay much attention to the results due to the fact that it was done by a civilian doctor, hence it was a hassle to get a final diagnosis. Due to her PCS (permanent change of station) to the United States, the doctors in Germany refused to handle her case. Instead of taking vacation in between moving duty station, Kaycee spent a month of her leave being seen as an outpatient in the Army Beaumont Hospital in El Paso; eventually she had to report and in-process. After a hard battle won, numerous tests, a determined Army Oncologist and with the help of M.D.Anderson her diagnosis was a rare and aggressive type of lymphatic cancer called Peripheral T-Cell Lymphoma. Due to the misdiagnosis and the delayed diagnosis the cancer has made it to her bone marrow and is looking forward on a stem cell transplant.

She has had CHOP a kind of regimen in chemo to try to prevent the cancer cells from duplicating. Recently it was determined that CHOP was unsuccessful after five months of this intensive cycle, and another method of chemotherapy has began. She's going to have to undergo a Allogeneic Stem Cell Transplant which she will need a donor's stem cells, it will replace the damaged and diseased stem cells to create new healthy ones.

She will need to get the donor's tested to see if there is a potential match and pay for their expenses. This is pain staking process and she wishes for her family to be able to be there. She's never asked anyone for anything so here am I her caregiver and one of her best friends I've seen the old Kaycee fun, active, outgoing, willing to put her life on the line for anyone in need disappearing slowly; but a new Kaycee will arise from all of this, if there is anything you are willing to donate to be able to help her and her family, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support and I hope that you better understand the fight that she is putting to have a healthy future.
