Operation: Flood-Me-Not

Due to the treacherous downpour of rain last night (8/2/16) Amy and Jack experienced a flood. More than 6" of water made its way through their entire home. A crew of 3 men turned into 6 and then into 9 very rapidly; 6 trucks and multiple large vacuums worked for 3 hours evacuating water from her home only to deem it a Red Cross Emergency. Sand bags piled at the entryways to keep out the 10" of water flowing by. Insurance is questionable at this point as "flood insurance" is not part of her policy. This will not be a small flooring and baseboard repair- this is flooring, baseboards and HALF of every wall that needs to be replaced. In addition to any appliances and furniture that have experienced damage.

Amy is one of the most kind, generous, cheerful, strong, hardworking, dedicated people I know. She is a single mother who dedicates her entire self to maintaining a safe home and environment for Jack to grow in. She is one of the best nurses I know, and spends her working hours ensuring complete strangers lives are better. She goes above and beyond in all aspects and she needs our help.
