The Six Lucky Sisters Dream Fund!

Donation protected
My name is Jonathan Pantages and I coach an Under 8 girls softball team in Fresno, CA.  As I became more familiar with the players on our team, I learned that two team members were adopted and had four other siblings who all live together!  I did not know much of their journey until I saw the video of the news report you will find at the bottom of this page .  The video sumarizes the story of a person who has become one of my heroes and is a difference maker!

Lacey Dunkin  began to realize that marriage may not be in the cards for her and accepted that possibility, however never being a mother was out of the question. As a child her mother was briefly in foster care and suggested that Lacey explore becoming a foster mom.    Lacey became certified, and in 2011 she became a foster mom to some of the girls, but they eventually returned to their biological parents for a time.  The biological parents tried their best, but eventually made the gut wrenching decision to ask Lacey if she would adopt all siblings in 2013.  A short time later a sixth sister was born,  and in 2015, with the help of her parents and Aspiranet, (http://www.aspiranet.org/locations/central-california/central-valley-regional-2-13/
the adoption process crossed the final hurdle that insured the girls would remain together in the same home!  I believe Lacey saved these girls, but she believes that her daughters saved her, and feels so blessed to have them in her life!

What is the money needed for?  I've never tried to raise six kids, so I imagine that if you can dream it up, it is probably needed or something that is useful.  College funds, clothing, school field trips and the list goes on.  If a softball league charges $100 per child, that is $600 just to register!  That does not include gloves, cleats and all of the other required equipment and uniform needs.  A trip to Disneyland, you do the math on how much that would cost!  How does one travel with six kids?  An upgraded vehicle is probably in order once in awhile!

Join me today and make a donation big or small.  Together we can impact the lives of these precious little girls and assist their mom who has made a lifelong sacrifice and only wants to raise awareness about Foster Care and adoption!

God bless you and thank you for joining me in making a donation and for choosing to make a difference in the lives of others!
