Housing During Medical Treatments

Soon I will be going through a Stem Cell Transplant to treat CLL and will need to stay in housing within 15 minutes of the hospital. I will be required to rent a place while at the same time paying my current house note. I am not destitute but two house notes will pose a definite burden on my wife and I. We are trying to get our insurance to pay or partially subsidize the costs but so far they have denied the claim because I live too close to the hospital even though the Drs at MD Anderson are sayin g that I live too far away. We are fighting the insurance company and if successful we will redirect all of the unused funds to the children's cancer ward to assist others in our same situation. It is a little humbling to ask for this but not sure where else to turn. Thankful to all who can help.
