A Very Deserving Kid Needs a Trip
My daughter, Hailey, has the opportunity to go to Washington DC and New York City in June with her graduating 8th grade classmates.
I have been unable to put aside funds because of the expense of my husband's cancer surgery, radiation and continued treatments.
Hailey and her sister have really weathered the storm this past year and have missed out on so many fun opportunities like camping, skiing, and much much more.
The trip has these amazing stops: Arlington National Cemetary, Lincoln, Vietnam and Korean Memorials, Alexandria, Mount Vernon, the White House, Washington Monument, Smithsonian Institute, FDR Memorial, MLK Memorial, Iwo Jima, Petagon and WWII Memorials, Holocaust Museum, Jefferson Memorial, Capitol Hill, Kennedy Center, National Archives, Fords Theatre and Petersen House, Rockefeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral, walk on 5th Avenue, Times Square, Ellis Island, Wall Street and Financial Center, 9/11 Memorial, the Today Show and go to a Broadway Show (which I am sure will be her favorite).
If you could help us in sending her, I would be ever so grateful. It is a difficult thing to ask for help from friends and family, but it's for my daughter. I would do anything for her.
