Help Fund A New Stove in Uganda!

Empower a life today!

Desperately seeking  a new stove for a culinary school in Uganda- Deadline May 1, 2013!

Our friend James started a culinary / hospitality school in Uganda in 2008 as a way to help students in the area get training to get a job in a restaurant or hotel. James has high hopes and ambitions for his school , but he is working with very limited funds. There are very few technical schools in the area, and very high unemployment so The ESCAT school is really filing a need in Uganda. Please Help us get a "real" stove for these students!

The school is in dire need of a new, proper stove so the students can learn modern & professional cooking skills. Most of the students in Entebbe Uganda cook at home using traditional Ugandan open fire methods, which puts them at a disadvantage for professional jobs/careers.

James started ESCAT to train motivated students to work in large hotels, resorts and restaurants in Uganda. Right now, there are few choices for those interested in learning about the Hospitality industry and this school is the only one in the area.

We visited ESCAT in 2011 we were amazed at how well they could learn with the limited tools that we find so vital. The stove the students were using while we were visiting sat lopsided on the floor, had broken knobs (so it only had one temp- HOT) and only 2 burners on the top would work. YIKES!

James knew this was a bad situation but it was the best he could do at the time. Now with your contribution and spreading the word, current ESCAT students will not only learn modern cooking techniques but so will future classes of Hospitality professionals. Please help us help James and his school!

Thank you in advance for your support to the culinary students of Uganda and James.
