Chad Edenfield's ALS Medical Fund

Donation protected
Chad Edenfield is a loving husband of 12 years, an amazing daddy to Chase (9) and Summer (3) and a damn near perfect son, brother and friend to many. On any given day Chad could be found camping, wakeboarding, at a car show, riding 4 wheelers, fishing, skateboarding with Chase, playing barbies with Summer, building something, putting a motor on something else, just loving life in general....and no matter what it was he was doing, he was doing it with his family, always. A family man thru and thru and the true definition of a good daddy.

In October of 2015 Chad began having balance issues and muscle fatigue. After a 6 month diagnosis process, Chad was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gerhigs Disease) on 4/14/16, less than a month after his 37th birthday.

This is a devastating blow to him and everyone who knows him, especially his wife and children. Today, Chad is no longer able to walk up or down stairs, type on a computer, lift his daughter, or walk more than a few feet without a walker or cane. There is currently no cure for ALS and as Chads condition continues to worsen, there are many medical supplies he will need. First on this list is a power wheelchair, as he does not have the ability to wheel himself with a manual one. A wheelchair van will need to one day follow. Chad and Kelly will need to make many adjustments to their home, including renovating an entire bathroom.

It is said that ALS is not only the most devastating, but also one of the most expensive diseases that can hit a family. In addition to medical supplies, there is also a regime out there called Lunasin (currently being studies by an ALS Dr at Duke University because of the improvement it has shown in other patients) that Chad could possibly benefit him and would like to try, this alone is almost a thousand dollars a month. If you are able to help in any way, it is truly appreciated and needed. The Chad I know would give the shirt off his back to anyone reading this, lets pull together and help him and his family in their time of need.
