CUCM Oesterle Funeral Expenses

As any of you who knows us my family had never been the ones to ask for help but friends and family have suggested we do this to help my mom get through this tough time. For those that don't know my father Master Chief Oesterle passed away Monday August 22 at 1932. He has been battling polycystic kidney disease for years and the decision was made to remove his kidneys because they were more or less dead. On August 2nd that surgery was performed and although he had complications he was healing fairly well. Unfortunately during the surgery his spleen was damaged and removed and they found his liver to be unhealthy and required a transplant. On Friday August 19th his health turned for the worse and he was air lifted to Jackson MS for a hopeful transplant. The doctors informed us he wasn't a viable transplant candidate and we were forced to spend our last days with him through the weekend in hopes that he would improve. His body slowly shut down during the time and we were informed he was only alive because of his life support. He lived 34 minutes without the support and after his heart stopped it started pumping more 5 more times. We truly believe that was for the 5 of us that we're there with him. We love you dad and as all of your comrades have said in these past few days you were great. The best father, husband, grandfather, and friend we all could ask for. So my fellow Seabees and friends I ask for your help as we process through these tough times. Please don't take our goal as something that needs to be met I just don't know what costs we are looking at coming our way and my mom is retired and depended on my dad as a provider. Thank you ahead of time for whatever and however you feel you can help. We appreciate everyone's sentiments to date and I will update his service here when I know the full details.
