Homeless Woman Needs Help Now!

Hello sweet people.
I am a mature, responsible woman who needs a one-time financial boost to help me get on my feet again. I am almost 60 and currently homeless so hopefully you will help me with funds for move-in costs to get into a small apartment I've applied for.

After applying for assistance I discovered I'm too young for Social Security/Medicaid and a little too old to easily land a job like I used to. Still have the same talents but now that I'm older, employers say I'm either "over qualified," or "not a team player" from being self-employed for many years. Caught in the middle because of some recent circumstances beyond my control, I've been left without enough resources or financial assistance to get into a place to live. Never thought in a million years I'd find myself homeless at this age.

I'm a professional freelance graphic artist/artisan/sculptor who has managed to responsibly support myself and my children for many years and still can. However the large sum of money needed to get into and rent a place to live took me by surprise. I thought surely I could apply and qualify for public housing, however in my town there is no local emergency housing, no HUD or Section8 funds available and the housing authority is not even taking applications for a wait list. Our local Waterfront mission only accepts men now with addiction problems. There is a new program opening with 41 new apartments for the chronically homeless, or those with mental problems and/or addictions that are in treatment. That unfortunately is not me.

It is extremely stressful and very difficult to run a business from a car, and do right by your customers. For the past month I've had to run my business this way. I'm staying from home to home with friends and those resources are quickly fading. With your help and this jump start, I will be able to get my life back without having to live from my car, forfeit incoming orders, and wait on my local broken welfare system to come through for me. 

I'm temporarily staying with a friend's daughter & 3 kids so as soon as possible I must be out before I mess up her living situation. I can't stay here long enough to collect enough start up money to get into a place. After this weekend I will be living in my car if I do not get help.

♥>$200.00 short for enough money to pay the first month's $650 rent (April) on a 2bd 1ba apartment that I placed an application for yesterday. Waiting to hear back.
♥>$650 deposit. It is not in a fancy complex and there are no laundry facilities, pool, or party room. I have searched hard and this lower price and size are hard to come by in this Gulf Coast tourist & military town. I called about two others that were scooped up right before I got there to look. (sad)
♥>$400 for utility deposits to have electric, water, sewer, garbage, and cable/internet (for my business) transfer.

♥>$100 pet fee to keep my two beautiful, well cared for 3 yr old rescue cats that have been spayed, have their shots, and are micro-chipped. (I can find homes for them if need be but it will break my heart)

After many years of serving others, I'm ready to learn how to take care of me again and get my life back. I shared my home and resources with over 40 homeless people over the years to help them get on their feet. Now I find myself here as well and feeling the extreme stress of being homeless first hand. It is difficult to say the least and I'm tired. I will be glad to post receipts for where this money is spent if need be. Just ask.
