KATHERINE’S FIGHT AGAINST CRITICAL INJURIES

Our family received the news that shook us all. The unthinkable happened to our beloved Katherine. She’s a mother of one beautiful boy named Kingston, and we’re starting this GoFundMe to help relieve some of the financial burden that will follow the bloodcurdling Medical Emergency she’s endured, as well as reuniting the two of them. 

 As Katherine was attempting to walk across Centerton Blvd, when she was struck down by a man on a motorcycle. Her injuries are extreme and she was life flighted to Mercy Intensive Care Unit. She had hemorrhaging in her brain, but it stopped on its own. her pelvis broke in 3 places, her liver was punctured, collarbone is broke, severe road rash, etc. She has been undergoing surgery after surgery. They removed her spleen, repaired her liver, worked on her pelvis and bowels. They’re still running some test to make sure there was no other damage. 

When you get news like this, it takes away your logic, your composure, power, and rationality. You’re not secure, you’re not certain, and everything that makes you feel “in control” is lost. Anxiety takes over, with these feelings of concern, fear,  desperation, impatience, etc. watching someone who wouldn’t wish harm onto a fly in this kind of pain, changes you as a person. 

Katherine will make it through this, we know how incredibly lucky we are to know this, but the road to recovery is unseen, and we know it’s going to be tough. If you’re able to donate, please do. If you cannot donate, please keep her and our family in your continued prayers. Thank you!
