8u Breakers are World Series Bound

The 8u Breakers Softball Team is a travel team from the New Milford Youth Baseball-Softball Organization (NMYBBSB) in New Milford, CT. This amazing group of talented young athletes have been very successful in following the 2016 Babe Ruth Tournament Trail!
On June 26th, the Breakers won the First Ever 8u Babe Ruth Connecticut State Championship. The Breakers proudly joined the 10u, 12u, and 14u New Milford Chaos teams in a clean sweep of State Championships at all Babe Ruth levels. This was a first for New Milford Softball!
On July 17th, the Breakers captured the New England Regional Championship while playing in Barrington, New Hampshire. This victory has only been accomplished once before in New Milford history back in 2001.
Clinching the New England Regional Championship has earned the Breakers a spot at the Babe Ruth World Series in Jensen Beach, FL from August 4-11.
The Breakers also held and won a National Qualifier Tournament on May 28, which also earned them a berth to the World Series.
This determined group of girls have been working extremely hard and we could not be any prouder of their efforts!
The World Series Packet of Information has been released and there are several “additional” cost items that have required the need for this page to be created.
The monies raised from this page will help the team with the following: Opening Day Babe Ruth Pink and Teal Jerseys (proceeds from the sale of the jerseys to the Susan Marie Rupp Foundation – daughter of Babe Ruth League Hall of Fame longtime volunteer Ruth McCullen who passed away from Ovarian Cancer), World Series Patches for all of their game jerseys, World Series Decorate the Park Banners with action shots of each of the Breakers (wonderful keepsakes), daily admission costs to the park and of course commemorative World Series Tournament T-shirts.
We are truly looking to off-set these “extra, additional” costs since the trip in itself was expensive and already covered by each family.
