I am a mom, a wife & a small business owner and I have a very rare & aggressive cancer. In life, I try to live by one simple philosophy: 'Be the change you wish to see in the world'.
I have a GREAT life & I have NO intention of dying anytime soon!!! I have a wonderful husband who I'm completely in love with, even after all these years! I can always count on him and he's been amazing through all of this! We have a daughter who is 14, a freshman in high school and I want to be there to help her pick out our prom dress...and hopefully someday her wedding dress! Our son is 20, he's away at college in Monterey Bay & I expect to live long enough to see him become the successful person that I know he destined to become. And as me, I still have a lot of good to do out in the world!
I was diagnosed in early December of 2012 with Leiomyosarcoma, the cancer had spread from my uterus to my liver in less than 6 months, thus Stage IV in a matter of four or five months. Twenty days later I had surgery to remove most everything in my pelvis (including those tumors! ;) and 3 weeks later I started chemo in hopes that it would shrink the liver tumors so they can be removed and keep the cancer from spreading.
Now, 3 months & 3 rounds of chemo later... I found out that the chemo didn't work - not one bit. Not only are the tumors in my liver almost twice their original size but they brought some friends to play!!! And some of the hoodlums are running around in other parts of my body now. So, all in all, it's not good.
Holistic, alternative medicine is my best hope. I have been checking into the Gerson Therapy Method from the start. It was created by a doctor in the 1930's. "The Gerson Therapy is a natural treatment that activates the body's extraordinary ability to heal itself." It has a proven history over many years, and I believe it the right thing for me NOW. The cost of the 3week* stay, with everything included is $16,500 (5500 per week) and unfortunately we do not have the money (but we have a whole lotta debt!!)...so here I am.
Please help if you can, in any way you are able, it all adds up.
