Talia Freund and Family Fund

gofundme asks, "to tell your story here" Well at just 13 years old Talia's story has just begun. Not that she isn't active or doesn't participate but because she is too young to have much of a story yet. That is why she needs  your help, so she can continue to write her story.

Look out cancer! Look out world! Talia may be small in size but that's where it ends. A huge heart, even bigger dreams, and so much fight make her one of the biggest people I know. Up to this point her story would talk about how much she loves her family and how important she is to them. It would include pages about how great of a friend she is to so many. Pages full of all the activities she enjoys and has always been such a big part of like track, volleyball, and school. It would include pages of just how much joy playing the saxophone brings her.

Like any great story there are twists and turns, ups and downs, and challenges that must be faced. The best stories just like this one talk about how brave the main character is, how strong they are, and the fight that they put up to concur immense challenges in their lives. That main character is a srappy little red head who those words describe to a T. As you read this Talia is sharpening her pencil, finding strength she didn't know she had, and beginning to write the next part of her story.

Talia was recently diagnosed with a rare Sarcoma (bone cancer) called Ewings. Not at all what she was expecting as she was preparing to start her freshman year at Seneca High School this fall. Talia and her family need you to be in this next part of her story. The part she talks about the family that stood behind her, the friends who cared more than she realized, and the strangers who became heroes. The many that gave and helped in ways she could never have imagined with only knowing a glimpse of her story.

Talia is a fighter, surprisingly strong, and is ready to do her part but she can't do it alone. Surgery, chemo, and radiation have just started. The Dr.'s have told her family that she will need constant care over the next 10 months minimum.  Living in a small town has its benefits but also means a lot of traveling to get Talia the care she will need to win this fight. Gas, tolls, hotel, and meal cost are just a small part of what the family will need help with. Dr. bills, hospital stays, and specialist will add to the cost of her treatment all too quickly. As any great parent would, mom (Tabitha) will be by her side. To do this means giving up the income she earns that is used to support her family. Dad's (Greg) and Joe will not ever be far behind but to do this will mean more missed work and income. The money raised will be used to get Talia the best care possible and to make sure her family can be there to care for her.

Talia is already overwhelmed with the thoughts and prayers she has received from family and friends. She wants to thank each and every one of you. Talia and her family will never be able to express how deeply grateful they will be for any generosity you are able to show. Please understand that ALL donation amounts will be helpful in writing the rest of Talia's story. No amount can be too big or too small.
