Many of you know Hannah, for being our friend, family member or for just being the lovely, kind and caring lady that she is. She is a mummy, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend and much more to us all. You may also know that since December 2015 she's been in a specialist spinal injury hospital, 90miles away from her loved ones, after having suffered a devastating injury to her spinal cord following a rare and unexpected illness.
For those of you that have spoken with her you will know that despite this awful time where she has no doubt felt extremely saddened and upset, she is remaining positive, upbeat, determined and very focussed…. All she wants to do is get back to being in a position where she can “take her son to school”. She knows that her condition is life changing and that she is coming home in a wheelchair, but now is just desperate to get back home to her young son.
The NHS are amazing and she is being very well looked after at the hospital, getting the finest specialist care possible.
I am sure you will join me in not only wishing her well, but you will also have thought about what life will be like for Han when she comes out of hospital.
She knows that not only will she need short term adjustments to her house (temporary so that she can initially get back home to one room in her house) but also has to find the funds for a large scale building adjustment so that she can use a few of the rooms in her house in the long term. This is the reason for this gofund appeal.
I am appealing to all those who love and care for Han to give whatever they can afford (no matter how small)… Han can then use this money when she leaves hospital to help contribute towards the costs of the essential and eye watering expensive building works she has to have for her house. Every little really will help and she will no doubt be overwhelmed, grateful and amazed by the generosity of people who love her and want her to get back to as much of a normal life as possible.
