Treetops ward is a ward specialising in plastic and orthopaedic surgery for children in University Hospital North Durham. As well as inpatient services, the ward has a dedicated paediatric day surgery unit.
Durham City Velo Cycling Club is a local, inclusive cycling club and we are undertaking our annual Christmas charity bike ride laden with toys and gifts bound for Treetops!
We are looking for any new or boxed toys, suitable for any age up to 17years, in order that they can be given as gifts to children and for the benefit of those on the ward during the year. In leau of donations, this page has been created to donate money, ALL of which will be used to purchase toys and gifts.
I hope we are able to make a difference to the many young members of our community unfortunate enough to find themselves having to spend Christmas in hospital or admitted throughout the year. Thank you in anticipation of your kindness and support of this campaign.
