Leslie Leonard

Last week, Leslie suffered a serious brain injury when a blood vessel broke.  She was transported to the Eugene hospital where she was evaluated and immediately life-flighted to OSU Hospital in Portland.  Currently, she is in a coma. Her doctors indicated that at this time, the coma may help her brain to heal.  However, her medical team will need to operate soon to stop the bleeding.  Her medical condition is quite serious!
Leslie has Oregon State Health Insurance, but that insurance will expire at the end of this month.  She is looking at an extensive stay in ICU and a long rehabilitation thereafter.  Her husband Lee, is having to attend to her needs at her bedside, while also meeting his employment responsibilities in Eugene.  Their income is limited to Social Security and is only supplemented by Lee's part-time employment and a small pension.  
Having known Lee as a personal friend, which goes back 52 years when we met in the Air Force, I am reaching out to all of his friends and family to help out in this time of need.  We are seeking your help to supplement their family expenses while Leslie is in the hospital away from home and to cover medical expenses that are not covered by her insurance.  Imagine if you were in this situation, what would you do?
