Takhai Cooper San Antonio SOLDIERS # 1

 This page has been created for Takhai Cooper who plays for the San Antonio SOLDIERS Basketball team. The team consists of some of the best 11 and 12 year old players in San Antonio. They have a full tournament schedule for the Spring and Summer as well as some community service events. He is trying to raise money for travel expenses, equipment and supplies. He is also trying to raise money to attend the Baylor Reading Program. A teammate of his attended the program last year and it helped him improve his reading level and comprehension. We hope for the same results for Takhai and his teammates. The Soldiers motto is "Bigger Than Basketball" which is why academics and community service is included in what the players do. If we meet our funding goal, it will allow Takhai and his teammates to attend the Baylor Reading Program and will cover the cost for all of their tournament fees and hotels.
