HELP A BLK TRANS WOMAN: Brazier’s Transition Fund

Hey bb’s! Thank you for taking the time to read this. 

My name is Brazier Ray, I am a 26-year-old Black Trans Woman living in New York City and I’m looking for financial support to help cover the costs of my physical transition.

I am reaching out this Pride Month both to members of my community and to supporters and allies of the BIPOC LGBTQ+ Community to ask for your help. 

I have dealt with dysphoria for the majority of my life. Throughout the journey of my transition this dysphoria has been taking an increasing toll on my mental health. There are days where I can’t get myself out of bed, and I have even gone so far as to cover all of the mirrors in my home so as not to have to face my own reflection. While I find joy wherever I can, as best I can; my dysphoria continues to fuel a crippling depression which I deal with everyday. I know that until I take the necessary steps to physically realize my transition, I will not feel comfortable in my own skin. 

For my happiness, survival, and quality of life I need to take the necessary steps to actualize my femininity physically in a way that reflects who I am inside. This journey, however, is complicated and expensive and I do not have access to the finances I need to make my dreams a reality. While I’ve spent the majority of my life taking care of my own; struggling and striving to keep myself on my own two feet I know that this is one battle I cannot fight alone. That’s why I need your help.

I am taking the humbling but necessary steps to start fundraising. All funds will go towards procedures including Electrolysis, FFS (facial feminization), Breast Implants, and more. I also hope to use these funds towards survival and living expenses accumulated while working towards, undergoing, and recovering from these procedures. 

If I could do this on my own I would but I need your help! Anything you can contribute will make a difference. Putting money directly in the hands of Trans and BIPOC people is one of the best ways you can give back, and will truly help change my life for the better.
