Support for Mark Stelma of Marx Axe Repair

For many years, Cleveland area guitarists and bassists have come to Mark Stelma of Marx Axe Repair shop because they knew they would get more than a simple repair or adjustment.  Mark, a self-taught guitar-repair guru, made guitar repair and luthier work into an art. One could simply explain what they wanted out of their instrument and Mark would do his best to, and Mark would come darn close to if not fully achieve the desired sound and feel of the instrument for the player.  Even better, Mark did so at very reasonable prices. His service was always dependable, came with a smile, and a witty wisecrack or 2 to boot. Not only was Mark's talent a staple to the music business here in Cleveland, but he is STILL OUR FRIEND.  He always did his best to get things done as quickly as possible, as affordable as possible, even while attempting to create miracles from the messes some of us made of our instruments.  Let's be real... many of us are repeat offenders, here...

Unfortunately, Mark has experienced some health set-backs the past couple of years.  In the past year especially, these issues have forced him to have to cut back his work and ultimately make the decision to retire, early.  This set of events has put Mark and his amazing wife, Sue, into a very difficult financial situation.  As you can imagine, having to close up shop well before planning to do so and losing an entire income is not easy. I know now is a hard time for many given what the world is facing, right now. However, if we all pull together and give a little, we can help Mark through what is a most difficult time for him and Sue.  Any little bit will help. I thank everyone, in advance for helping!
