I have been paying my own way through college each year by working on campus, and at several part-time jobs. I have some loans, but due to severe financial difficulties in my family, I am unable to secure any more money through lenders. During my sophomore year of college, my family lost our home due to foreclosure. As a result, my parents are unable to co-sign for my loans, and are financially unable to help me pay the school.
My tuition each semester costs about $19,000. Between the grants I receive for my good grades, and the money I make working at night and on the weekends, I have paid off a significant amount... but I still have $6000 left to go. With rent and other expenses to pay, this amount is out of my grasp.
I am a hard-working student who needs to graduate in order to continue to apply for police officer jobs around the state. Without paying off my account, the school will withhold my transcripts. I have worked too hard for four years to be held back by the bursar's office!
I am asking for your help so I can walk at graduation on May 19th, and fulfill my dreams of becoming an officer! No donation is too small, and every bit counts.
