Legal Fees for Constitutional Case with Jimmy

Let Them Play Michigan has been leading the fight for Michigan student athletes since August of 2020. We have raised $150,000 for two major lawsuits against the State of Michigan, 10 individual athlete lawsuits against their schools and local health departments, 20 billboards throughout Michigan, and 3 successful rallies at the state Capitol with thousands of people! We have been the loudest and most successful voice for athletes in the entire state. Because of our efforts...fall Football was reinstated, fall playoffs were reinstated, winter sports were reinstated, and spring sports close contact quarantines were finally dropped in most schools throughout the state. Thanks to Attorney Jimmy Thomas, we have continued to win for Michigan athletes. Our groups most recent lawsuit (not with Jimmy) against MDHHS regarding MAPA was a loss, but we will not give up! We are up against a system that is not on our side, but we must keep pushing. This GoFundMe will be paying the legal fees for Jimmy to fight the constitutionality of the current statute allowing MDHHS to rule over the entire state with no checks and balances. This is OBVIOUS to those with common sense, however getting a judge to side with us is where the struggle comes in the Democratic leaning court system of Michigan. All money raised will go directly to legal fees for this battle. If we do not raise the $25,000 all funds will be returned and we will not go forward with this case. Let’s go!!!!
