Shalese's Hope for a New Heart

Shalese was born in 2004 with a heart defect called Hypoplastic left heart syndrome or HLHS. She has undergone three heart surgeries and a valve replacement. As of 0630 on July 13, after 105 days on the transplant list, a donor heart became available and was gifted to Shalese.
Her family (Mom, Dad, Easton, Sariah, Kenyan and Miriam) are currently relocated to Salt Lake City, UT, for the transplant. The recovery for a transplant can be anywhere from 3-6 months, with numerous post op procedures, medication, traveling and living expenses while away from home and a whole lot of stuff I don't even know about! Transplant doens't fix what Shalese has, rather it is like switching one difficulty for another. She will be closely monitored the rest of her life and continue to have apts in Salt Lake to stay on top of any rejection and other complications. What I do know is that it's a long road and they would never ask for help and I would do anything for them. I have had several people ask me what they can do to help, so I am asking for help with their expenses. I can't take this challenge away from them but I would love to ease their minds financially so they can concentrate on Shalese and getting her back to being a happy, healthy little girl and bringing her home.
Their family has always been very private through the other health challenges Shalese has gone through, but they decided to share their journey this time. It is their hope that maybe they can give hope to another family going through a difficult time. I have read the encouraging words that have been posted in response to their posts and I appreciate so many of you that have offered your thoughts and prayers on their behalf and how truly appreciative I will be if we can help them during this time of healing and help make their burdens lighter.
