Patty's Cancer Fund

Hi, my name is Patty. First and foremost I want to give all the glory to God for what He is doing for my husband and I. I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer that had metastasized to my lymph nodes before there was any sign of trouble. It is clear cell carcenoma ovarian cancer and is one of the most difficult to treat. I have been in Mexico at the Immunity Therapy Ctr in Tijuana for 2 1/2 weeks fighting this thing. I know that the Lord has guided our steps to get me to this place. The people here are wonderful. The doctor, Dr. Bautista is brilliant and amazing.
When I arrived here I was in bad shape. I was in mal nutrition and my hemoblobin was 7.2 ( should be 10.0) and my iron was very low. The cancer was consuming all of it so it could thrive while taking life from me.
I had a blood transfusion the second day here to bring the levels up. It did temporarily, but the cancer was still winning. They gave me iron and a hormone shot to stimulate red blood cell growth. My second blood test was good, It went up to 9.7, but the iron was still low. Then came time to check once again before doing low dose chemo. The number dropped again to 8.3. I had to put off chemo yet again. In a day or two, after the shots and iron, they decided that we should not wait any longer to start the chemo and the other treatments alone were not strong enough to stop the cancer. I still had pain in my back at this time, so I know that the cancer was still doing its thing.
I had the first chemo treatment on Friday August 12. I thought I would be tired and feel terrible, but I didn't. The only negative side effect I had was the worst night sweats EVER! I thought I took a shower and forgot to wipe off LOL! The next day I was able to walk the 4 blocks to the clinic and back!
There are ups and downs, good days and bad, but I know the Lord has plans for me. This has turned in to a missions trip for him.
The money is needed for the double cost of treatment here since our time here has doubled to six weeks. We can use these funds asap because of being in a foreign country they want the money before full treatment. Our credit cards are maxed out now. This is quite an unexpected burden.
I am hoping that the Lord will move hearts to help us.
This means so much to me that we could even request such a thing and reach so many at one time.
I would be forever grateful to anyone who's heart has been moved to help us.
Dr. Bautista is confident that I will leave here cancer free. That means your generosity will be all the more worth saving my life....Praise the Lord and His mighty hand!
