Smiles for Steve Dowd and family

This  is my, our good friend and family, Steve.  Steve has battled cancer five times, one right after another.  Throughout his fight, we have all been amazed and saddened at what he has gone through, it's almost surreal...definitely unbelievable!  I, myself, would have given up as would most of us.  Steve has an abundant, loving family and friends since childhood, who give him love and support 24/7...but as you read below, you'll see that there is now a roadblock, with no solution in sight.  Steven is tired, I'm sure...so let's help him and his family out...if nothing else, a smile.  Whatever you can give, I, we are thanking you in advance from the bottom of our hearts...

Sins my job let me go.
I had 30 days until I would lose my insurance.
And Medicaid won't kick in until June of 2018.
So my wife and I went to the hospitals social service dept. to see what could be done.
So he went over the money I am bringing in now.
It's much less with disability.
And what my wife makes.
And according to the so called affordable care act( obama care).
I will need to pay over three hundred dollars a month.
And I will have a 9 thousand dollar deductible?
That means I have to run up 9 thousand dollars before they'll cover anything.
And that is just until January.
Then I have to do another 9 thousand.
And they only cover generic medicines.
So I'm losing my pain meds.
I also got a letter from cobra saying if I want to get coverage threw them.
It's going to be 2000 dollars up front and 1,750 every month after that.
And Medicare said I make to much money.
What it all means is, I not only may have to stop treatment, but I won't even be able to get pain medication.
