Miracle Millies Operation

As many of you know, and I hope more will read Millies story and know why you should stop when you hit a cat. Unfortunately, I can only type so many words on here. Her full story is on her page on Facebook as “Miracle Millie” to shorten this down. Millie was hit by a car September last year, and was left in the road to die, the driver drove off and left Millie fighting for her life, she was also trying to get out of the road, and cars were driving past her. Luckily two ladies found Millie and move her to the pavement, contacted the police and then realised Millie had two tags on her collar ( her address, name and number she is also microchipped)  since then Millie has fought on to stay alive her injuries were

*Tail pull injury (tail amputation) 

*3 and a half hour operation to save her leg which later had to be amputated as she somehow damaged her own tendons and ligaments whilst in the care of the vets. 

*ruptured diaphragm 

*Broken ribs & air leaking

*shattered pelvis 

*severe wound breakdown(which nearly killed her) 

*screws removed from her pelvis in January 

Now the time has come were Millie has to have the plate removed from her Pelvis, potentially leaving it could cause the Pelvis to re fracture if it loosens or becomes fragile and this would not only make her pelvis even more weaker it will also be a major concern for the vets.
