Memorial Day Challenge

With Memorial Day approaching we would like to issue a donation challenge. While we honor our fallen heroes of our armed services, we also suffer loss in this addiction arena of those we lose by abuse and overdose. The former are heroes, the latter are loved ones, sons and daughters that chose the wrong path but were taken far too soon. It has become a minor epidemic and at Across The Bridge we fight every day our own battle to help prevent any further loss.

In so doing we have met with 6694 people in 178 meetings this year from recovery facilities, our own meetings, celebrations  and in coaching sessions. We continue with new people added as leaders monthly, to offer a spiritual and a traditional 12 Step solution, and provide added services of clothing closets, resource training and services, treatment referrals, and a facility that opens arms to help those in need. We value each person we come in contact with and look to maintain that contact as often as possible

In particular right now we need Men's clothing and new underwear (both men and women), as well as toiletries, Recovery Bibles and  funds to support our Outreach into the community. The more meetings, contact and social presence we offer the greater our chances are of retaining clean and sober folks who will stick around and become future leaders.

Here's how you can help. We average reaching a little over 350 people per week, so for the week leading up to Memorial Day we are asking you to donate the amount of your choice per person that we reach that week. The amounts are .25 cents, .50 cents or $1 per person we reach, on an average either $350, $175 or $87.50. You can go through Go Fund Me or our website to donate or get us a check, after we supply you with the number for that week, no later than May 27.

What you can do right now is let us know we can count you in by sending me a text at [Telefonnummer bearbeitet] or an email at  [E-Mail ausgeblendet] and let us know your pledge. Remember, what you do can help  prevent a relapse or death and can help turn around the lives of those who had been lost and are now becoming found.

The new battlefield we have is right here in America, right in the cities and suburbs of Atlanta, and quite possibly on the doorsteps of your own home. We at Across The Bridge are standing in the gap to win this war, on the very front lines of addiction recovery!
