Nika's Mission Trip-Faith & Fashion

Hi friends and family!
My name is Nika and I made one of the scariest decision's this week. I left my current job to pursue a passion and calling fueled by faith. One of the desires laid in my heart is for womens ministry, specifically in faith & fashion. I have witnessed first hand how the fashion industry simultaneously nurtures innovation and creativity while also tearing down the hearts, self-image, and relationships of women. There is a growing ache in me to start a conversation towards reconciling this with my sisters.
A pretty amazing opportunity to do just that has come up: a chance to speak at the womens ministry of the church I was born into, the place my father felt called to step out in faith to further pursue church ministry by moving his family to America. I am so humbled and grateful for the chance to serve, and am even more pulled to my knees in humility as this opportunity would require a ticket I just cannot afford at this moment. A ticket to the Philippines is not cheap by any means and as a newlywed, I look at my bank account and this is not a work I can complete on my own.
But just as in all things, my Heavenly Father is bigger than plane tickets, empty bank accounts, and big dreams. After all, He laid this desire in my heart in the first place. So if you feel in your heart that any of this resonates with you, I would so very much love your partnership and support in helping raise funds for this plane ticket. Any amount and all prayers are so deeply appreciated. Meanwhile, I am on the edge of my seat, eagerly expectant of what God will do next here!
