A down payment on the Hunters' home

Your support will help us obtain housing and help the KW farm continue the incubator farm concept on to its next level. This is a long term investment for us. Working with another established farmer (KW farm), we hope to create opportunities for future farmers as we work on the success of this project. However, we are down to the wire. Currently our apartment lease ends on Oct 28th. It takes 2-3 weeks from purchase to delivery of home. Sadly we had the down payment, but our car had to be repaired in August then replaced in September. Then our newer car got rear ended. Now we are without the funds to make the down payment. With your support we can make this happen.

You may have seen us at the Farmers' Market in Fayetteville or making deliveries to Ozark Natural Foods. We are hard workers and are trying to break out on our own. We are already so grateful for the many who have over the years supported us while we learned to grow quality food. We are grateful for your support in this new opportunity as it may help secure our family with a roof to continue our food endeavors. 
 
We began farming with Patrice at Foundation Farm in Eureka Springs seven years ago. We lived in a cabin that spring. We got married in the summer and had our first child the following year. Then we worked with Marty’s Produce for close to 4 years in Madison County. It was during this time at Marty's that we established a great relationship with Ozark Natural Foods and had our second son. Housing became an issue as the cabin was proving small for our growing family. We have spent the last 2 years growing produce at the Den Herders' farm in West Fork while renting and commuting from Fayetteville. Housing is still an issue, but with your help it will not be a problem for long.

We are ready to start a new chapter, working on a concept Incubator Farm in Madison County. As we pay off the mobile home and grow our assets, the mobile home will move with us to our new land that we hope to buy in 3-5 years.  Here are the details...
 
The landowner is going to give us usage of:
      - 2 acres to set up including 3,000 sq’ for a new garden
      - a spring supplying 2 hydrants that can irrigate that field 8 days straight 24/7 = enough water to double or triple crop for maximum production
      - water hookup to the mobile home
      - electric hookup
      - fiber-optic/high speed phone and internet connection
      - the county road is 250’ from the house site

We will be 50 minutes from the Fayetteville market area. Your support for our roof will mean that great food will feed our community. We need the down payment to buy the mobile home, and get it delivered to the KW farm. The landowner will supply the utilities, put in a grey water system, build us an outhouse and help underpin the new home. We would be so grateful if this can become a reality.

This is a unique opportunity for us. It allows us to keep all the farm revenue we make over the next 3-5 years. There is no rent to the landowner and there is no profit sharing or money going to the farm owners. They are retired and want to give others a chance to become landowners.

When we move to our home in 3-5 years, another young family will move to the KW incubator farm and work to make their dreams of land ownership come true. This is a win for everyone in the community. Your support for this endeavor will be greatly appreciated.  We will be able to supply great nutritious food to many. We just need a little help getting a home for the family. Once that is established we can really start growing.
