Renee's Medical Fund

In 2012, Renee' and her husband Philip owned and managed  Philips Restaurant. They were  working together when she was diagnosed with appendiceal cancer. It is an aggressive, rare form of cancer. Renee went to UPMC in Pittsburgh to have surgery a procedure called the HIPEC . After a long recovery period in the hospital, several more surgeries and  months of Chemotherapy,  Renee' and Philip had to make a difficult decision to close their restaurant of many years because Renee's recovery period was going to be longer than anticipated. Her body was not accepting the chemotherapy. While the doctors were very hopeful and almost promising of different treatments,  Renee's body still refused to respond to them.

In 2014,  Renee' had another  HIPEC procedure performed and  started chemotherapy again. In July 2015 she found two tumors in her stomach.  Renee was told that she was not able to have the surgery again; after trying chemo again for several months she was too sick to continue . However,  with God's grace, love, outpour of prayers, and support from her Mother, Father,  sisters, brothers and their spouses, church family and friends, she was introduced to cancer treatment doctors who also practice alternative medicine and have found the treatments that her body is now responding to.

God has placed these gifted doctors in her life. They have kept her healthy and have helped her maintain a normal lifestyle with minimal pain. She sees two doctors each week and travels an hour each way 4 out of 5 days. She recently started a new treatment, which her body is accepting, but it is not covered by her insurance. She desperately needs these treatments. However, as with all medicines, it comes with a high price tag. She needs a financial blessing that all of us have prayed for to help her family meet the expenses to ensure she is able to maintain the treatments without lapse of time .
Philip is self employed  and also maintains a full time job with another company.  They have two teenage sons living at home and an older son, daughter in-law and grandson in Monongah.
Renee' is a Mother, Grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and Christian and good hearted person who always has and still does help those in need.  Renee  needs the kind of generosity shown to her that  she has always displayed and had for others. Please consider a donation, no matter the size, to help her  maintain this costly journey she has to live with and continue to help raise her boys as all mothers' should be entitled to do.

God bless each and everyone of you.

Thank you, and please pray that sickness like this comes to an end in our near future.
