Aid for my father, Don Alex Larios

Donation protected

We are very sorry to have to extend our humble hands to you, but our father is very ill and is currently in the ICU at St Joseph's Hospital.

Alejandro "Don Alex" Larios is the reason I laugh and make others laugh. He is the man who gave me my sense of humor and my honesty. He is the kindest of men who has taken his shirt off of his back for his children and has worked himself to near death. he had lost his Mechanic shop years ago during an economic slump and began to work out of his house in a neighborhood I hate to go into. His health had been on a downhill slide ever since, but he has always been a fighter.

My dad had been very ill for the last few months and just when we were thinking it couldn't get any worse, he collapsed. We found out that his immune system is shot, he has pneumonia, a few stomach infections and has lost so much weight that he is having a hard time walking. I thought whatever he had would pass and after he had been sleeping all day at our house for a month, I had gotten him a gym membership and some weight gainer... little did I know that his problem was much more severe than that. Since he hasn't been able to work for a few months now, his house is left with no running water, no electricity (which means no air conditioning) and no food. His landlord is still hounding him for the rent, and we are going to have to turn in unfixed vehicles back to their owners with a frown and an apology, and we still have no idea when he is going to be able to start working again. My brothers and I will start selling his posessions this weekend, but I have no idea how successful we may be. In reality, we don't want him to work anymore. At age 64, his health shoudln't be this bad. The government has offered all the help it can provide given his current immigration status.

Our intentions are as follows. Three thousand of this will be to get us out of the hole that we are in and the other one thousand five hundred is to keep him afloat for the next two months while we try to get his citizenship in order,  as he is still only a permanent resident. When we get his documents in order, my old man can finally stop the working streak he has had since he was 16. A donation would be so kind and much obliged, but please do not feel obligated.

I hate to bother you, friends, but at this point we don't have enough resources to pull him up alone. I really appreciate that you have even read this far. We are eternally grateful for your donations, thoughts, prayers and time. Be well!
