Wonderings, a place where the noise of the world quiets to a hush, the speed slows, and children and adults can listen to what the world has to teach them. It is a place to grow, be nourished, experience, and thrive. It is a place to become self-aware, build confidence, and create community.

Now in its 7th season, Wonderings continues to provide enriching arts, cultural, and experiential summer programs to the youth of San Juan County, located in Northwestern New Mexico. Through first hand experience working with local experts from a variety of topics, our students are exposed to a new way of learning and seeing the world. Our work asks participants to think critically about everything they see and experience, and then reflect on what they have learned by creating original pieces creative writing and visual art. Their artwork is always brought back to their communities to be shared with and inspire their friends and families. Our primary objective in each program is to nourish imaginative and critical thought in our participants with the hope that they will return to their families, schools, and communities with a deeper and more passionate world view and become leaders of positive change.

This year we are expanding our work creating year-round programs that will partner with various schools and community centers. Wonderings will use the funds raised from this website to establish these projects throughout San Juan County and the Navajo Reservation.
