Saturday 4/17/2021

I brought Baker to the er where he was diagnosed for a bilateral ear infection. They sent us home with antibiotics and said to come back if he gets worse. 

Sunday 4/18/2021

I brought Baker back because something didn’t seem right. He wasn’t acting like his normal self. He didnt want to stand or stay awake. Anthony handed him to me to take a bath and he moved his head but very little movement km in arms and none in the legs. I put cold water on him to see if he had a reaction and he didn’t. I told Anthony to get him dress we were going back to the er. 

Monday 4/19/2021

He was admitted for CMV, H influenza & spinal meningitis. I’ve been tore up since that day. We got up to PICU and that is where we have remained. 

Tuesday 4/20/2021

Today there were more doctors than yesterday. More information over load. I know it’s taking a toll on all of us. We’re just ready to have him better. 

Wednesday 4/21/2021

Today was a bad day. He has had many seizures. So they changed his medication. He has been out of it since. 

Thursday 4/22/2021

Happy Birthday to my Mimi & Aunt Kelli. He woke up today and looked around -YAY- he also gripped my hand! Now they have him doing his MRI to check his hip joint and his brain. Regardless of the results that is our baby boy and nothing in this world could ever make me love him different. I’m blessed to have my son still with us and I’m praying that he will continue down the road to recovery. Slow & steady wins the race!
