"If people knew better, they would do better"
                                                                     - Maya Angelo

It is our desire to start a program along with our magazine to give young people 13 to 25 skills, training, financial literacy and proper etiquette so that they can be better positioned to succeed.  Many students have skills to get a job, but do not display the proper character to maintain it.  Some have good manners but do not pose the skills to qualify for the life sustaining employment.  If skills and manners are present, many people are not afforded the opportunity to get the competitive employment.  Therefore, TEENVIEW Magazine, YEEP, and Mindfire Academy is working on a project where we will train individuals with proper etiquette through the Emily Post curriculum, Financial Literacy through the YEEP curriculum and digital arts through Mindfire curriculum.  The project will allow participants to earn a weekly stipend and internship opportunities.  It will be project based, using the TEENVIEW Magazine as the hands-on/real world activity that will sharpen the skills taught in the program.

TEENVIEW Magazine is a tool that we use to empower young people to build wealth. As we taught financial literacy to some young teens at the local Boys & Girls club some of them expressed that they did not believe that reaching financial freedom was possible for them. They were so overwhelmed by their circumstances that they did not believe that they could live a life free from financial struggles. This was hard for us to take in because the students lost hope. We understand that a generation without hope leads to a hopeless future which perpetuates the poverty cycle.

Therefore we knew we had to show the students that they too could break the chains of poverty, they too obtain great success no matter their background. So we introduced the TEENVIEW Magazine. This is a magazine for teens, by teens, from a teen's point of view. Participants write the articles, take the pictures and layout the magazine. They are learning awesome skills through the program but more importantly, they get to touch and experience their dream.

One former member, Olivia, is a recipient of the Bill Gates scholarship. After receiving it, Olivia told TEENVIEW staff that it was not because of her great GPA, there were people with better. It was not for her high SAT score, there were a lot higher. She said it was her involvement in the TEENVIEW Magazine that helped her receive the scholarship. See, Olivia loved to write but she has dyslexia. She joined TEENVIEW to help her with overcome issue. The magazine created a platform to grow. Olivia became the teen leader of the magazine and was a key factor in putting on a concert that brought to town a nationally recognized group. We are looking to help the next Olivia, will you help us?

WHO WE ARE
Saving money, budgeting, and learning to invest are all critical concepts many young people never learn in their early years. It is not until people are faced with serious financial circumstances that they really start to look at positive ways to handle their financial matters. Any financial adviser will tell you the earlier you start, the better off you will be in the long run.
This is the reason the Youth Educational Empowerment Program (YEEP)was established . Our organization offers many unique and innovative presentations and activities. Mr. Cool Money and the Gang
just one of the programs. With it, we have characters that focus on different age groups and teach important money management principles that will help participants take control over their financial future.

With our partnership, we are putting forth an effort to come up with solutions that will better our economy, our youth, and our communities.  We need your help to see this vision through.  Can we count on you!?!
