Mission Trip Uganda 2013
What began as simply an entry in a contest with hopes of
winning a free trip to go on a missions trip to Uganda this summer (June 3rd-14th) has turned
into a dream come true! Thanks to my Astoria Baptist Church family, I have
enough funds for my deposit that will secure my place as part of the "˜Dollar
for the Poor' team who are heading this endeavor.
While in Uganda the team will be working to construct new
orphan homes for the kids to live in while they attend school, doing
medical/gospel outreach in the village of Karuma, and running camps and
activities for the amazing children at the campus in Karuma! My participation
in these constructive efforts is contingent on my ability to raise the rest of
the funds. The total cost is $3,100 and so far $1,000 has been donated. I
believe that together we can raise the remaining balance within the next six
weeks; by graciously pledging your support.
There is no amount that is either too small: or too big!
