Help me study abroad in Costa Rica!

It has been a dream of mine for years now to study abroad and gain knowledge of another language. With my graduation coming up in December, the window of opportunity to make this happen is closing in and this could be my last chance to do so.

A little bit about me:
My name is Lindsey and I am a 25 year old nursing student from Arizona. I graduate nursing school in December of 2013 and decided that this would be the perfect time to fulfill my dream. My belief is that everyone should receive adequate medical care. I am hoping to travel abroad to further my understanding of the Spanish language and to couple this understanding with skills I have acquired through the nursing program here in Arizona. This program will provide me with a good knowledge base and the beginnings to a successful career involving Spanish translation and my passion in nursing.

MLSA: (Modern Language Studies Abroad)
Working in a hospital for over three years, I have come across many predicaments where I have been hindered by a language barrier. I realized something had to be done, so I spoke to one of the Spanish instructors at my college and was referred to the MLSA program. This summer, I have the privilege of attending the Universidad de Costa Rica where I will spend two months living with a family in the culturally dense area of San Jose, Costa Rica. At the University there, I will acquire twelve credit hours of Spanish content, as well as immersing myself in the language, culture and geography.

Costs:
This program will end up costing $8,000 after the expense of the program, airfare, and money to get by while I am there. Because of the rigorous requirements of nursing school, I am unable to work as much as I would like; therefore, I am reaching out to all of you.
