Helping Out MR. AND MRS. BURSON

Whenever you need help, you know you can depend on the Burson Family.   If you were a student at Jimtown and need a shoulder to cry on, a friend to talk to, or just need a smile you can turn to Mr. Burson.  I personally loved when Mr. Burson would come into a class to play “Burson Says.” We all knew he truly cared about each and every student and he loves the Lord!  Mr. and Mrs. Burson are currently serving at Elkhart Northside Church of the Nazarene.  Mrs. Antoinette recently greeted me in the Children’s Department with a beautiful inviting smile on her face. 

Through the years, The Bursons have gone above and beyond for so many people.  Whatever you needed, they would be there- and with smiles on their faces!

Now it’s our turn to give back. Recently we held a House Help Day where many people gathered and helped paint, do yard work and help move boxes from the basement.

With Mrs. Bursons’ health she isn’t able to go up and down the stairs much anymore. The insurance isn’t covering her needed procedures and without the visits to the Chiropractor she wouldn’t be able to walk.  They are currently trying to sell their home to help with these costs, and the issue of traveling up and down the steps.  Also, the urgency in selling their home is the result of payment in full of the mortgage by July 31, 2017, which is called a “balloon payment”.

Mr. Burson had to retire after his own health took a downward spiral after his 3rd heart attack, pneumonia, and sepsis in November 2012.  Mr. Burson served the Baugo School System for 20 years. How many lives did he impact? Wow!

They have given to so many, and now they need us. Please give $5, $10, or $100. Every penny helps right now. They need to continue with the medical treatments – that aren’t covered by insurance.

Please continue to pray for this beautiful couple as well. The Lord hears our needs and will take care of us.
