Wildlife Rescue and Carer Shelters, Phillip Island is the only 24 hour wildlife rescue service in the Bass Coast area. We provide rescue, care, transport and rehabilitation services for all native wildlife. This includes seals, possums (both ringtail and brushtail), wallabies, koalas, native birds such as rainbow lorikeets, wattle birds, rosellas, Cape Barren geese, tawny frog mouth owls and lizards and turtles. This service is run by two local volunteers, Colleen Gilbee and Kaylene Mendola. We are an non for profit organisation and are now desperately short of funds to keep the service going. We are looking to raise money to purchase fruit and vegetables for daily feeding , pay veterinary bills and build more cages to house wildlife undergoing rehabilitation. Your support is truly appreciated and will help save the lives of almost 80 animals and birds per year.
