Circle of Caring Mission Trip to Kenya

I am so excited to have the opportunity to participate in a 10 day mission trip to Kenya Africa this fall with the organization, One Child Matters (Formerly Mission of Mercy). I will be one of 18 women from all over the United States, going to a new community in Maasai land called Olootepes, which is deeper in the bush than projects in previous years. This is a project that doesn't receive many American visitors. They struggle with water scarcity, proper nutrition, and isolation. We will be privileged to spend time with the children and mothers of our sponsored children by encouraging them, loving on them, and beginning to help with basic needs.

They are resourceful people and look forward to having American women willing to come and extend to them a hand of hope and encouragement. This trip will be the opportunity of a lifetime of being able to be in the African bush and bless the Maasai people.

We will also spend time at the baby orphanage at New Life Home and visit one of the slums located in Nairobi as well.

Estimated cost of the mission trip is $3700.00 with an additional $600 for my flight to Washington DC which is the departure point for the trip. Any extra funds raised will go to provide much needed supplies for the women and children in Kenya.

My deadline to pay for the trip is August 10, 2013
