Help Dee with Transplant Expenses

Donation protected
From her Daughters:
If you know Dee, Mom, you know that every one of her freinds isn't just a friend to her but family. Growing up she always welcomed every one of mine and my siblings' friends as her own children. She is always helping in some way she possibly can when someone she knows is in need, but never asks for help when she is in need.
As some of you may already know, she was diagnosed with Leukemia April 15. The doctors weren't sure about what type of Leukemia she had at first but started her on her minimum of 6 month journey of chemotherapy in Seattle.  After starting her first round of chemotherapy, we found out that she has AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This type of Leukemia is the most aggressive of the types, meaning the only cure is to get the cancer in remission and have a transplant. This didn't bring her optimism down.  Her Oncologist said that there was a 25% chance that her brother could be a donor, unfortuately we found out that he is not a match. We also found out that her insurance will not be covering all her medical expenses throughout this process. Even through all the bumps in this road that she is traveling down, she is keeping in good spirits.
Starting this fund for her is a big step for my family. We do not like to ask for help but be the one helping. We have found multiple donors for the transplant, but we do not know when they will be available for the transplant or even if Mom will be a good candidate to receive the transplant. Until we find out more information she will have to continue receiving chemotherapy, and if she is not able to receive the transplant she will  have to undergo multiple rounds of aggressive chemotherapy for the next four months.
As anyone knows that has gone through difficult medical issues, the last thing that you want to worry about is the expenses that come along with it. But it seems to be the first thing that hospitals and social workers are most concerned with. During this difficult time it would provide a much needed relief for her recovery to not be so concerned with the financial end of this so she can continue to concentrate on her health. Any help that she receives will be greatly appreciated and will go toward her medical expenses and other expenses that are accrued during her recovery time.
