Cancer treatment and travel

Since 2001 my mom has been battling a rare cancer called multiple myeloma. Recently she has been not responding well to the chemotherapy that is given locally, so we have been traveling to Seattle every week for the past few weeks for a new kind of treatment. We are very hopeful that this treatment will work better and that possibly down the road we will be able to get some of the treatments more locally; but for now we have fly to Seattle once a week, get a hotel and rent a car or uber. She is also paying out of pocket for some of the medication. Every trip cost at least $1,000 after all of that so I'm trying help her offset some of the financial burden.
