Unbreakable Becky

We are the loving family of Rebecca Elaine Slack. She is a tenacious 53 year old wife and mother. She and her husband Tom Slack have been devotionally married for 27 years and together have one 22 year old son, Shawn.  Becky  was born and raised in Grass Valley, CA and is the middle child of 8 brothers and sisters. Becky is known for her kind heart and kindred spirit. She loves fiercely and unconditionally. From friends and family to strangers on the street her generosity to all is unmatched. She gives with her whole heart without a mere thought of compensation. She takes great pride in her roles as a mother, wife, aunt, sister, and friend. She is passionate about her garden and is well known for her green thumb.
In May 2016 our Becky was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that had metastisized to her liver and spleen. The doctors said it was inoperable and gave a grim prognosis. She and her family first decided to forgo medical treatment so she could live the time she had left  with some reasonable quality. After some time had passed, Becky's tenacious, determined and unbreakable spirit shined through and her desire to thrive became a pillar of strength for her and her family as they decided to seek treatment, both holisitically and medically, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Pheonix, Arizona. Becky has met with oncologists, immunotherapists, natropaths, and  nutritionists to come up with a plan to help her fight hard and fast. She decided after her consultation, to commence therapy immediately, no matter the cost. As of now she will be having chemotherapy and immunotherapy in early July. This requires she and a caregiver to travel 3 times a month to CTCA in Arizona. While CTCA accomadates Becky as their patient at no cost; airfare, hotel stay, etc. are not included for her caregiver. We are asking for any and all donations no matter how substantial or miniscual, to aid in the financial burden this promising treatment will bring about. The estimated cost per month for airfare and hotel stay alone, is roughly $1,800 per month. 
Your gift not only supports the Slack family financially, but emotionally as well. As it is one less thing to worry about, amidts the stress of traveling and treatment. Although Becky's prognosis is grim and terrifying she has maintained such a greatful heart, attitude and sense of hope. She is determined to come back swinging which is indicitive of the fighting spirit God gave her. There are no words to express the gratitude that will come with the support of each and every one of you. When it comes to something so life altering, the strength and positivity from  family and friends is needed not only for emotionally stamina but spiritual strength as well.
