Ana Ortega's Road to Recovery

At the young age of 10 years old our mother Ana Ortega overcame a very traumatic surgery that almost took her life. She had appendicitis that caused her appendix to  rupture and began leaking into her stomach. This life threatening occurrence would lead her to stay in the hospital for 3 months in the ICU. Thankfully after numerous surgeries she overcame this battle. Our lives changed dramatically and took a turn for the worse on June 17, 2016. After 37 years, there was another issue we were battling. She had developed a fistula and went in for a procedure to help fix it. However, things did not go as planned we had to take our mom to the ER that night. Unfortunately, the doctors had caused  perforation on her intestines. She underwent a 5 hour long surgery and was in the ICU for 5 days with little to no hope left in us the doctor from El Paso recommended that it would be best to take our mom to a transplant center in Omaha, Nebraska.  We are raising money to help cover medical bills but most importantly to help our mother.  Your donation and prayers are very much appreciated.  Thank you!
