Kailey Drake's Medical Expenses

Kailey is a beautiful soul. She is so kind, warm, loving, patient, caring, selfless, positive and absolutely radiant! As some may say "she is the rainbow in the sky". She has three loves in this world, her boyfriend Ace and their two young children Lilly and Zane. When she isn't working at the Grand Traverse Pavilions, she is usually hiking, donating her time or spending time with her family. Kailey has recently had an unexpected medical emergency and I am hoping as a community we can help to relieve her of some of her burdens so she can focus on healing and getting stronger.
Kailey has been battling with severe back pain for about a week now. After two failed trips to the ER and being sent home with pain meds she was exhausted. She went to the emergency room again on Friday and after an MRI they found that Kaileys spine was severely infected with some sort of bacteria (still waiting on the culture). Kailey was sent into emergency surgery and afterwards placed on life support because there was so much swelling from the surgery that breathing on her own was impossible. We were unsure of the outcome. As of today, Kailey is breathing on her own with a little assistance from an oxygen mask and was even able to take a sip of water with thickener in it while holding the cup by herself. (AMEN!) Although we are grateful, we are unsure of the coming days. After having two small pieces of her spine removed, Kailey will likely be unable to return to work within the next month or two. Everything is currently day by day. Between medical bills, monthly housing costs and one income remaining, I think it's safe to say Kailey and Ace are struggling.
Kailey is a force to be reckoned with! She is so strong and I know she won't ask for help herself, that is why I made this page. Every dollar will make life that much easier for Kailey and her family! Thank you so much and don't forget to send prayers!
