H.O.P.E. “Hold On…Pain Ends” Where your caring Friends Begin!
Hello Everyone. I am Tamera, a coworker-friend and surrogate daughter to Ms. Ellen Miller. Coming to you for help in raising funds for Ellen, one of the dearest people I know-- a true rare breed!
You will not find too many people like her left in this world. She is a dedicated mental health worker of over 33 years at a world renowned mental hospital in Maryland, who has never been late, hardly EVER takes a day off, or a vacation. Her days off as of late, has been due to her illness and health issues. She loves what she does and she loves people...there is no disparity in caring for patients or her colleagues. She just cares!
I, along with her many friends and coworkers, are raising monies to help with her growing expense of her Kidney Dialysis and multiple surgeries, procedures, and medical bills associated with her illness which as a result has simply depleted her savings, credit cards and the like!
Ellen Miller is retiring the end of November 2016…and we are praying that she will be able to physically work up until that time. As I mentioned, she’s having some complications along the way, and she’s exhausted nearly all her life savings and her PTO hours (paid time off) of which she would have had enough to cash out with an enormous lump sum …but due to all these unforeseen problems, that too is just about gone leaving her feeling hopeless and defeated.
Upon her retirement, if not before, we would like to ease the pain of hopelessness and restore her joy! No one should be burdened with medical bills after working and dedicating practically all their life to helping others!! I understand that life is not fair…and many people don’t get what they deserve but many people don’t deserve what they get either!
Ellen is the most thoughtful and giving person you’d ever want to meet. She NEVER forgets a birthday, holiday, bridal or baby shower, or any special occasion in your life. If you share the info with her or she finds out, you can believe come next year that time, there will be a gift card, a gift, cake, cards sent to you weekly while you’re convalescing, bereavement, anything to celebrate your occasion, and it’s always tailored to your specific like/hobby or interest. She genuinely listens to people and sincerely cares about YOU!! She does whatever she can to put a smile on a face… so now it’s time to put a smile on HER FACE!!
We want to collect/raise funds up until the day she retires, November 30th!! On that day we want to show her how much people do care about HER and her situation.
We are asking that you please donate often: regularly, weekly, biweekly, monthly…any amount counts!! Our goal is $5000, but I'm believing that just as Ellen has poured into the lives of so many, she will get it back a hundred-fold!!
Please help us restore that HOPE for Ms. Ellen ~ an angel who walks among us!
