Kevin's Chemotherapy Treatment

Dear friends,
Recently, our friend Kevin has been extremely ill and needed to be hospitalized. After running blood tests, he was with diagnosed hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), which is a rare immune system disorder. When patients with HLH contract an infection, the blood cells do not work properly to fight off the infection, and the immune system becomes overstimulated. The immune system then begins to damage the patient’s tissues and organs, including the bone marrow, liver, and even the brain.
Kevin is currently being treated with chemotherapy, steroids, and other medications, the cost of which can easily exceed $7,000. Furthermore, this cost doesn’t include the initial fees incurred from being sent to the emergency room, having a series of blood tests, or his meals. We know Kevin wouldn’t feel comfortable asking for financial help, so his friends have set up this page for him. It would mean the world to Kevin if we could help alleviate his medical bills so he can have one less thing to worry about during this difficult time. Anything helps!
