Battling pancreatic cancer

August has been a rough month this year. On the 16th I woke up to a blood clot in my leg. I went to the hospital immediately. While examining the extent of the blood clot cancer was found in my pancreas, liver, and ovary. After a liver biopsy it was confirmed stage 4 pancreatic cancer. The news seemed impossible since I felt fine the day before.
I immediately broke down thinking of all the things I was going to miss in life. My grandson Liam just turned 8 months old, my new grandson Noah arriving in January, and all of the memories I was supposed to be making with my amazing husband Lane. I was planning on far more than 41 years on this earth.
The reality is that I now have to face chemo appointments,hair loss, and oncology. My oncologist is an amazing woman who believes there may be help in Houston, Texas. First thing I said was "when do we go?"
